A nightmare gets worse until somebody wakes you. At the end of a life, nobody can — so what the mind is carrying is what it keeps carrying.
It doesn't matter who, as long as you have one.
Our last energy will be our energy in the next world.
Think about how a nightmare really ends. It does not fix itself. It gets worse, and worse, until a child screams and a parent comes in and shakes them awake. What calms the child afterward is not the quiet. It is knowing that somebody came.
Now take the waking away. When the body dies, the mind is still running. Whatever it was running on — fear, greed, wrath, envy, shame, lust, guilt, rage — is what it keeps running on. No hand arrives on the shoulder. The dream does not break — it continues forever. A non-ending nightmare is another definition of Hell.

Have a Savior! It doesn't matter who — God, Allah, Yahweh, Buddha, Muhammad, Jesus Christ, a guardian angel.
That is what a savior is for, and it is why the name does not matter. A savior is whoever you can still call out to when no one else can reach you. It is the parent at the bedroom door, moved to the one moment no parent can come.
Jesus, Buddha, Muhammad, a guardian angel — pick whichever one you can really call. Believing out of habit will not answer. Believing for real is a hand you can reach for in the dark, and reaching for it is what turns the nightmare down into something gentle enough to rest in.
